Waste & Recycle

**CORRECTION TO RECYCLING GUIDELINES: In oversight PLASTICS #1-#5 & #7 were left off of the mailing insert.  These items ARE RECYCLABLE!  I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.***

We Recycle

Recycling, it’s never been easier! Recycling has changed over the past years, simplifying the process so that everyone can take part. Recyclable materials do not need to be sorted or even bagged, just placed in your recycle cart. All of the recycling efforts are adding up to thousands and thousands of new products made of recycled materials.

Recycling conserves natural resources, saves landfill space, and saves energy. Recycling improves our environment, our quality of life and our planet’s future.

Blue Recycling Carts

Both the City of Pilot Point and Waste Connections encourage you to recycle by placing recyclable materials in your blue recycle cart. The cart should be placed by 7:00 AM at the edge of the driveway at the road with the lid completely closed with the handle facing the residence. Parked vehicles and other obstacles should be at least 3 feet from the cart, these obstacles include:

  • Cable boxes
  • Electrical boxes
  • Fences
  • Gas meters
  • Etc.
